Community & Activities The Vegetarian Society of Georgia is a non-profit, educational and social organization dedicated to the promotion of vegetarianism. The VSG maintains an active calendar of vegetarian events in Georgia for its members as well as the larger community. Some of our past events have included lectures and potluck suppers. A well-known website for kids has decided to use its Internet power to start a grassroots campaign to save the earth. GreenPeople is a non-profit organization of SEE (Social and Environmental Entrepreneurs). They are an ongoing association with over 375 "green" organizations and 500 eco-friendly businesses. They also sponsor a free (3-month trial) new service: VeggieDate (http://www.veggiedate.org) . This is a nonprofit, online, searchable vegetarian and almost-vegetarian meeting/dating place. Email them at website@veggiedate.com, 310-399-9355. North of the border, you'll find the VOA, Vegetarians of Alberta, which was formed in 1989.
